For more than a decade or so the internet has created a tradition where people have celebrated their past by posting past images of themselves. If you are on social media on a regular bases by now you are programed to do so.
Have you ever wonder where did the term come from? According to various sources some say it came from a “Sports Illustrated” blog post. The blog segment would post various articles and memes discussing past trends such as old sneakers, past fashion trends, etc. While the date is uncertain many sources believe the first mentions were around 2006.
One thing is for certain there are no signs of it going away as we as society enjoy reminiscing about ourselves, the past, and the glory days when we had a full hairline and much more fit perhaps. With that Happy Throwback Thursday.
